Do your students need test preparation for Utah RISE? Utah students are tested every year with a test called the Utah RISE. The Every Student Succeeds Act or ESSA, requires students to take state tests in reading and math every year in third through eighth grade and once in high school. In Utah, students in third through eighth grade take the Readiness Improvement Success Empowerment (RISE) in English language arts and math. Students in fourth through eighth grade also take Utah RISE in science. This is a science blog, so I am going to focus on the science portions of the assessment in Utah Rise.
Test Preparation for Utah RISE
SEEd stands for Science with Engineering Education (SEEd) Standards. There are two ways to prepare students for Utah RISE Testing in science.
One way is to teach all the standards for the Utah SEEd In your grade level. Another way is to give students practice tests that are similar to the Utah Rise for Science.
